Naturally released avalanches can occur in areas with lots of new snow or rain. Avoid lee areas with fresh wind deposited snow in the alpine.

Avalanche risk assessment

Det kan løsne skred av seg selv der det kommer mest nedbør. Unngå bratt terreng med våt og løs snø. I fjellet og i indre strøk av regionen kan nedbøren komme som snø. Kraftig vind vil der føre til at det legger seg fokksnøflak i heng som er i le for vinden. Fokksnøflakene vil stabiliseres raskt på grunn av mildværet, men du kan lett løse ut skred mens været står på.
